NICK SEABROOK . CO-FOUNDER, HEAD DOG-TRAINER

Nick is a professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, graduated from the National K9 Learning Center of Columbus in 2015, and is certified in First Aid by the American Red Cross. His career in dog training began shortly after getting his first German Shepherd, Kenna. It was Kenna that pushed Nick into discovering his lifelong dream of owning his dog training business.

Nick enjoyed the training process for Kenna so much, that he and Kenna enrolled at the National K9 Learning Center of Columbus to gain the skills necessary to help others form bonds on their journey. The team hit the books hard! They worked together to complete the requirements for Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience, Behavior Modification, Utility, Puppy Development, Tracking, Scent Detection, Personal Protection, Police K9 and Retrieval. Since then, Nick and Kenna have spent time helping dogs and owners in Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and California, and continue to attended seminars put on by the top trainers in the country, training conferences, and have apprenticed under some of the best trainers in the industry.

In 2017, Nick moved to Maryland to continue his training education with Kenna. That same year, he met his wife, Jen, and launched Who’s A Good Boy, as a pack, in 2018.

Nick believes in training the dog and owner in front of him. No leash, collar or single method will work the same on every dog. Having an experienced trainer with a big toolbox will make the process streamlined and fun. His goal is to help as many owners have the same type of relationship that he has with Kenna.

JEN SEABROOK . CO-FOUNDER, TRAINER

Jen is a graduate of The University of Maryland with a degree in communication. At a young age, she was determined to become a vet to save all the animals. She would rescue and nurture any animal her family adopted over the years and could always be found petting a dog or cat at a party. Throughout her childhood, she was diligent about their care and annual records. So much so, that she befriended her family veterinarian just to learn more about animals.

Jen decided that leaving her dog, cats and horses at home at 17 was too much to bear and chose to stay in state to attend and graduate with a Communications Degree from college.

She continued to work in management for multiple fortune 500 companies during and after college, and gained invaluable experience as a manager. This encouraged her to pursue her Graduate Degree in business management, which she is still pursuing today.

Jen believes in the importance of hands on training and understands the struggle of change. As a dog mom herself, she struggled with introducing new boundaries with Calvin, her Jack Russell Terrier. Her goal is to show owners that overcoming growing-pains and setting healthy boundaries to promote a deeper connection with a dog sincerely benefits every member of the family, including the pup itself.
